The next season of PUBG has arrived, and we're throwing a lot at you, including a new weapon, map changes, and new strategies. The season begins with Update 5.1, which features improvements to Miramar, including updated loot, map objects, terrain, and a static scope on the map-themed Win94 repeater rifle.

The highway to hell has an exit ramp to Miramar, so rev up that Mirado for the new "A La Muerte Vamos" racing course running through the region. There's plenty of new attractions for players to utilize, including ramps, loops and some sick jumps to crank that automobile anarchy to the next level.

Players also now have a new way to assist their allies and take down their enemies with the addition of item and melee weapon throwing mechanics. Toss your squad mates that much needed energy drink or go for the longshot and take down that last survivor with an expertly calculated pan throw.

In addition to the gameplay updates, the Survivor Pass is back with new rewards, challenges, and improved mission systems! Survivor Pass: Badlands rewards players with outfits and weapon skins themed around the harsh desert and its former inhabitants. Additionally, players can dive into the history of Miramar for the first time as they unlock all four parts of the Season 5 story together as a community by collecting new items scattered throughout the different Battlegrounds.

Six years ago today, we released version 1.0.0 of Path of Exile, which introduced the Scion character class and the second half of Act Three. This event marked the end of a multi-year beta period, and coincided with our official release on Steam. Since then, we have released 17 expansions, and will announce two more including our largest one ever at ExileCon in three weeks.

As the first year after Path of Exile's full release, 2014 was one of experimentation. The three expansions launched that year (Sacrifice of the Vaal, Forsaken Masters and the unnamed 1.3.0 PvP/Torment/Bloodlines update) each varied considerably in size and cadence, as we tried to determine the best pattern for future releases.

In 2015, after a beta period, we released Path of Exile 2.0.0: The Awakening. This large expansion ushered in a new era of Path of Exile with the introduction of Act Four, Jewels, Lockstep, Item Filters, and more. Later that year, we released the first second-generation league: Talisman.

2016 was a busy year alternating between expansions+leagues and standalone leagues. We released Ascendancy (with the Perandus league), Prophecy, Atlas of Worlds (with the Essence league) and Breach. A significant growth in userbase (which would then continue until the present day) started that year.

2017 was a year of true expansion in many senses. After running the popular Legacy league, we simultaneously released Path of Exile on Xbox One, launched in China, and released our gigantic 3.0.0 expansion, The Fall of Oriath, which contained six new acts of content. The year was then capped off with the War for the Atlas expansion.

In 2018, we had an overarching plan to replace the aging Master Mission system at the end of the year, so each of Path of Exile's four releases that year introduced a new NPC with a third-generation league attached. Bestiary's Einhar, Incursion's Alva and Delve's Niko joined Jun and Zana in the new Master roster in the Betrayal expansion.

2019 saw the release of Synthesis, Legion, Blight and soon our end-of-year 3.9.0 expansion, as development on 4.0.0 really ramped up behind the scenes. We also released Path of Exile on PlayStation 4 and in South Korea.

UI Adjustments

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Nightmare's action prompts to overlap by adding support for displaying prompts on multiples rows in the HUD to prevent current and future overlaps.
  • Slightly reduced the display size of item and offering icons to allow for more space in the HUD.
  • Updated The Huntress' Cold Wasteland Survivor outfit icons to properly reflect the texture color adjustment which was introduced in 3.1.0.


BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue that caused post-game bonus Bloodpoints not to visually appear on the score board.
  • Added more logging to help better help understand the issue that prevents Survivors from successfully escaping through the exits.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Survivors bodies to block auras.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed The Nightmare to place multiple Dream Snares at the same place.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Survivors to be able to see location indicators from Killer perks and powers.
  • Fixed an issue that caused location indicators from screams not to give an off-screen indicator.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Head On to deactivate on the perk owner if another Survivor exited a locker.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Sloppy Butcher perk to affect the Snap Out Of It action.
  • Fixed an issue that caused permanent heavy bleeding when healing after the Wraith performed a Surprise attack using the Sloppy Butcher perk and the "Blind Warrior" - White add-on.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a loud noise notification to appear above the Madness bubble indicator when passively tiering up madness levels.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Survivors models to be visible in front of a bubble indicator (hooked, madness, etc).
  • Fixed an issue that caused Rite of The Ghost Face daily ritual to gain progress when stalking without leaning.

  • Fixed an issue that caused some fences to be missing in front or in the back of various houses in the Lampkin Lane map.
  • Fixed an issue that made it impossible to cleanse a totem between a pile of tires and a bush in the Badham Preschool maps.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Survivors to become momentarily stuck in place when canceling cleansing a specific totem in front of recycling bins in the Badham Preschool maps.
  • Slightly adjusted the some totem placements that caused the interaction prompts not to always appear from all angles in the Badham Preschool maps.
  • Fixed an issue that caused an impassable gap between a telephone pole and a cement block in the Badham Preschool maps.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some fences in the Badham Preschool maps to have an invisible collision above them, blocking Killer projectiles.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some Killers not to smoothly vault from the front window of one of the houses in the Badham Preschool maps.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a specific crate asset around maze walls to disappear at a certain distance in the MacMillan Estate maps.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the hatch to spawn inside the ground on a specific tile in the Coal Tower map.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the tire stacks on the crane tile to disappear from a distance in the Autohaven Wrecker's maps.


ADDENDUM

BALANCE

  • The Pig: The movement speed curves for crouching and uncrouching have been adjusted to transition between normal speed and crouched speed more smoothly. The overall average speed while performing these interactions has been slightly increased. *Note: This change was introduced in 3.1.0 but was originally omitted from the patch notes.

MMR ROLLBACK UPDATE
With Y4S3.3 the MMR Rollback system is getting a few improvements that allow us to more appropriately target and address those who exploit the integrity of the ranked system. A drastic MMR change is a sign of massive irregularity and a red flag in our system. So we will now be resetting MMR for such players.

This means that instead of undergoing a significant change in MMR, players will have to redo their placement matches to get back appropriately on the ladder. Players who have their MMR reset will also not receive the seasonal ranked charm for their highest rank prior to the reset.

BALANCING

GLAZ
Stay focused on the details, but detail a bit faster now.

Increased Glaz's rate of fire to 380 (up from 285)

TWITCH
Less fragging, more tactical dabbing.

Reduced Twitch's F2 Magazine to 25 (down from 30)

WARDEN
Warden's Glo Up.

Warden changed to 2 speed – 2 armor type instead of 1 speed – 3 armor

BUG FIXES

FIXED – Players can use a 3rd party hack to change other players' operators.
FIXED – After switching from advanced to standard deployment, Attacker's first breach charge deployment attempt gets canceled.

OPERATORS
FIXED – Blackbeard's shield clips through his body when equipping while leaning.
FIXED – Hibana's XKairos pellets can destroy other pellets deployed on the same wall even if they are out of the blast radius.
FIXED –Defenders can place a barricade or Castle's Armor Panel over Goyo's Volcan Shield.

USER EXPERIENCE
FIXED – Radio music doesn't stop playing even when the radio is destroyed.
FIXED – Right clicking when in the scoreboard will cause player to enter ADS and the selected tab simultaneously.
FIXED – Mute text chat option does not work on LAN.
FIXED – When going into observation mode, SFX plays twice.
FIXED – My Rank UI tab now shows your current rank in the season instead of the highest rank achieved.
FIXED – Minor visual texture issues for Uniforms.

We are excited to bring you the third annual Fear Evolved, bigger and better than before!  The blood-moon, DodoWyvern, DodoRex, have made a return to ARK from October 22nd to November 5th!  Find tombstones to and gather what you need to craft spooky skins or hunt down the elusive DoDoWyvern - the choice is up to you.  For those who have experienced Fear Evolved before, we've added some new tricks and treats to ensure Fear Evolved maintains its legacy as a community favorite.
