​Last Week In ARK
Welcome to another edition of the Community Crunch!

In Last Week In Ark, we've seen some changes in the Players Killed By Weapon Type.  While things remained the same on XBOX, we saw slight changes in both XBOX and PC in the weapons players chose to use compared to last week. 

Kills By Wild Dino Type shows us same creatures but overall deaths by these four creatures have reduced by 14.9% when compared to last week.  We'll keep looking for more interesting stats to share with you!

The NFL and Rocket League are getting ready for the big game next week with the NFL Super Bowl LV Celebration! It's a Rocket League event that's bringing the brand new game mode, Gridiron, Event Challenges, and the return of the NFL Fan Pack. It all starts February 2 and will be live until February 8.

WELCOME TO THE GRIDIRON


Champions Field has been transformed for this new LTM, complete with hash marks and the NFL logo at the 50-yard line. [WHISTLE BLOWS] Now huddle up! It's time to learn the rules of Gridiron mode:

  • Gridiron is 4 on 4.

  • The standard Rocket League ball has been replaced with an American football.

  • Touching the ball attaches it to the roof of your car. In Spike Rush, the ball would attach to wherever your car made contact, but in Gridiron it will always attach to your roof.

  • If any player touches the ball, that player becomes the ball carrier, setting up the opportunity for hand-offs to teammates or steals by the other team.

  • The carrier can single jump, but double jumping drops the ball. You can also pass the ball by dodging.

  • Each goal is 3 or 7 points: 7 points are awarded if the ball is attached to a player when entering the opponent's goal, and 3 points are awarded if the ball is passed in or if the ball is loose. All own-goals are worth 3 points whether the ball is attached or it's loose.

  • Demos require Supersonic speed just like in standard modes.

  • Stay in bounds! You'll fumble the ball if you cross the line marked on the Arena wall.



Now throw on your pads, get out there, and have some fun! Plus, we're adding three Event Challenges that can be completed to unlock the Gridiron Guru Player Title, NFL Wheels, and 20,000 XP! These Challenges and the Gridiron LTM Playlist are live from February 2 through February 8.

- FIXED – The playlist name is missing when a player attempts to reconnect to a previous match.

We are near the end of Week 2 in the Echoes of the Atlas expansion. Yesterday, we deployed Patch 3.13.1 which included {LINK REMOVED}. Before we begin the next week, we wanted to give you an update on other things we're working on.

Texture Streaming
Yesterday, we released a Development Manifesto that explains the purpose of Texture Streaming and how we're improving it. Please check it out {LINK REMOVED}.

Echoes of the Atlas
Is the Maven blocking natural master missions from spawning?
We have investigated this and it is working correctly. It appears to just be a streak of bad luck for some players.

Taking Harvest Altas passives in Haewark Hamlet reduces their spawn rate
We've investigated this and haven't found any issues but will run a few more tests for good measure.

I captured 10 bosses and didn't get an invitation from the Maven
This issue should now be fixed. If you have already captured 10 bosses and haven't yet received an invitation, you should receive a guaranteed invitation drop upon your next boss kill within that region.

Ritual
Some Rituals can't be completed because of invisible enemies
We're aware of an issue that prevents influenced monsters from displaying when they're revived in a Ritual. This is fixed internally and should be deployed in one of our next patches.

General
Forking River Map boss is too hard
We've made some improvements to the difficulty of this fight which will be included in a future patch.

Can you add Pure Breachstones and Winged Scarabs to the Fragment Stash Tab?
We're working on something for this, hopefully as part of 3.14.0.

Can you make it more obvious which Master Mission is active on the map device?
Yes, we've recently improved the way this looks. This change should be live now.

Can you increase the capacity of the Horticrafting Station?
Limiting the number of crafts that can be stored is the trade-off for keeping very powerful crafts accessible. We don't have any current plans to increase the storage limit.

Bugs and Technical Issues
The 'Attack Without Moving' toggle is resetting every instance on some skills
We're investigating a few reports like this but don't have any updates to provide just yet.

The Blackflame visual effect is bugged
We don't have a fix for this just yet but are working on the issue.

My Sacred Grove Is Empty
If you find a Sacred Grove that appears empty, it's most likely that you've spawned the Heart of the Grove fight. Travel to the centre of the grove and interact with the vines to begin the fight. We're also working on better signalling that this is the case by adding an icon to the minimap as well as potential other visual indicators to draw people toward the fight.

The Anomalous Golem gem doesn't grant its increased buff effect
We are aware of this and are working on a fix.

Sometimes my Zana mission won't count as completed
We have a fix on the way.

Warlord's Mark on Hit grants less rage than it should
We have a fix for this internally and will deploy it as soon as we can.

Crashes
We have resolved many of the common causes of crashes and continue to monitor and investigate reports as they arise. If you are still experiencing crashes, please post a report on the Tech Support part of the forum. If it appears to be related to a specific game mechanic then please post your report to the Bug Reports forum.

Hotfix 1.11 is now available!

This update addresses two issues that appeared after Patch 1.1:

  • Item randomization has been restored to the previous state.
The save/load loot exploit will be investigated further.
  • A bug in Down on the Street quest has been fixed.
It occured for some players during a holocall with Takemura, when using a save made on version 1.06 with Down on the Street quest in progress at "Wait For Takemura's call" objective. After loading such a save on version 1.1, the holocall would lack dialogue options and block interactions with other NPCs.

Next Rocket League Update Arrives February 1

The next game update for Rocket League is set to arrive on all platforms on February 1 (pending first-party certification). It's bringing some new content and a few QOL improvements. First up, we're happy to announce the arrival of an item that's been requested for a long time: Fennec Decals in the Esports Shop!

ESPORTS SHOP FENNEC DECALS INCOMING!
Once the update goes live, players will be able to get Fennec Decals for all teams featured in the Esports Shop! Each Fennec Decal will be available for 300 Esports Tokens. Check them out in all their glory in the images below. Don't forget, the Esports Shop no longer rotates, so you can browse and buy all items for all available teams.

NEW EFFECTS SETTING FOR NEON FIELDS
Based on recent player feedback, we've become aware that the effects and lighting in Neon Fields can negatively impact the game experience for some players. To ensure that Rocket League remains enjoyable for all players, we're adding a new settings option called "Effect Intensity" that adjusts the intensity and motion of visuals for this Arena. Following the update, players will be able to change this setting to "Default" or "Low." The "Low" setting makes the following changes:

  • Disables all pulsing effects

  • Disables all flashing lights

  • Reduces or disables moving FX/lights/background visuals

  • Reduces brightness or intensity of background lights
