Paladins Bounty Store & Marketplace

Posted: 29 Sep 2021 07:07 AM PDT

Champions!

Earlier this year we announced the return of the in game Bounty Store, and since then you all have been earning Bounty Coins and using them to pick up a ton of amazing content. In addition to this, we are pleased to present an updated Bounty Marketplace.

If you're new to Paladins and don't know what the Bounty store is, here's a quick rundown.

We have reopened the Bounty Store, with more updates to come in the future. As we continue to expand the system towards that goal, we will be making certain changes. In the gen:LOCK patch, there were pricing changes in the updated version. To compensate for this, and in light of exploits from the previous implementation, we normalized previous Bounty Coins such that players were to have between ~100-1000 Bounty Coins when we reopened the store. For the vast majority of players, this was an increase from their previous balance.

Skins that were owned previously will be maintained, but duplicates of each skin are being removed.

Bounty Skins are priced at more Bounty Coins per skin than in the past, but we've multiplied the rewards from Daily Quests by 30, and are adding additional ways of earning Coins. Overall, we expect players to see more coins and value relative to previous iterations going forward. We intend to continue to tune these numbers moving forward to get into the right spot.

More Skins for Sale

In the new Bounty Store, each skin will still be on sale for the same three day window, but we will keep a rotating stock of 3 skins, staggered such that 1 skin will change each day.

Bounty Store Event Exclusive

In addition, players who purchase an Event or Crossover Pass will have access to another skin for the duration of the Event. This slot will only be available to players that have purchased the current Pass, though the skin itself may be available through other methods such as Chests or Direct Purchase. Please note that this slot remains consistent during the Pass and does not rotate out or have limited quantities.
Keep checking back with each new Event or Crossover Pass to see the new skin that becomes available!

Twitch Drops

  • Linking
    • First, make sure your account is linked to Twitch[gaming.amazon.com], so you can earn points for watching Paladins on approved streaming channels.
  • Viewing
    • Gain 48 Bounty Coins for every 4 hours of stream viewing.
For more information on Twitch Drops in Paladins and FAQ visit our blog here[www.paladins.com].

Additional Coin Earning

  • Starting in the gen:LOCK patch, we've implemented a new feature where players will have the option of watching ads in-game to earn Gold, Bounty Coins, and other rewards. Now we know you probably have a few questions and we wanted to be upfront and clear about a few things:
    • These ads are completely optional. Players that would like to earn rewards via this new feature will need to click the new "Earn Free Rewards!" button on the home menu and opt in for an ad to start playing. If you don't opt in, you'll never see an ad and your Paladins experience will be the same as always. We will never add forced or unskippable ads to Paladins, ever.
    • Ads shown are of a quality and standard that you'd see on TV or other mainstream video service providers or streaming platforms. Nothing cheap or sketchy.
    • If you watch an ad, you will always receive a reward. Every ad watched will award 100 Gold and you can also earn other rewards like Bounty Coins and Boosters for watching multiple ads.

Bounty Marketplace Update

Today we're super excited to announce the return of the Online Marketplace[bounty.paladins.com], new and improved with loads of new quality of life features to make buying, selling, and trading skins you've picked up with Bounty coins easier. Here's a list of new features and improvements for the marketplace.

  • A brand new interface that updates in real time. There is no longer any need to reload the site to see if a price drops.
  • The only sale that is shown at any time is the one that is the lowest cost and oldest
  • The site is now available on mobile browsers
  • Various backend changes have been made to optimize the site

PUBG - PC PATCH NOTES - UPDATE 14.1

PC PATCH NOTES - UPDATE 14.1

Posted: 29 Sep 2021 12:24 AM PDT

Hello, Survivors. First up in this update is the ability to pick up and carry a downed survivor. You can now throw them over your shoulders and bring them with you to victory.

Next up, Taego has received a lot of changes. Additional covers are added in some areas, and the terrain has also received improvements. Furthermore, Breakable Pots have items inside so break and loot! Error Space are special new zones marked on the map that can spawn items featured in other Battlegrounds, so make sure to check the map for locations.

In addition, Taego and Paramo have been added to the Ranked. The rulesets have also been changed accordingly, so check out the details below. Many changes have been made to Erangel's hot place Pochinki, along with the Pony Coupe and Porter, Halloween decor and weather on Erangel, the new Trick-or-Treat Progressive M416, and more, so be sure to check them out below for full details.

14.1 HIGHLIGHTS

TAEGO UPDATES
TAEGO WORLD IMPROVEMENTS
Since the introduction of Taego, we have been continuously analyzing the play history to collect information about the overly advantageous areas on the map. As a result, we discovered that some regions of Taego have a relatively high win rate compared to others.

After checking the win rate of the most popular combat zones, objects and terrain improvements were made for the areas with a win rate of 75% or more.
  • Improvements
    • Added cover to the mountain area north of the Palace and the river area east of the Terminal.
      • Fixed field of view, bends, and cover for areas where terrain composition is difficult to overcome.
    • Improved the cliff topography in the north of Buk San Sa area.
      • Corrected the height of the cliffside terrain, which was considered to be OP.
    • Reorganization of the topography around the School area.
      • After removing the surrounding trees, added fields.
    • Covers and hills have been reorganized.
      • Terrain improvements in some coastal areas.
        • Redline: Corrected the cliff topography of the entire coast.
        • Blueline: Removed rocks located around the lighthouse.
    • Some mountain/river areas:
      • Green area: Added trees to the hillside.
      • Magenta Zone: Added flat terrain curves.
      • Sky Blue Zones: Added cover for areas that lack cover.
ERROR SPACE

Introducing the Error Space, this map exclusive feature to Taego allows players to gather other map-exclusive weapons and supplies to be spawned randomly within these zones.

Error Space zones are displayed randomly on the minimap and will be active until the end of the match, so make sure you head to the Error Space early so you don't miss out!

Game Modes:
Custom Match
– Players can set the number of Error Spaces.
– Players can set the spawning probability of Error Spaces.
BREAKABLE POT

Various items are placed in Breakable Pots that are placed all over the map. Break the pot to loot multiple items inside and lead the match to victory. However, be aware that the sound of breaking the pot may expose your location to enemies. You may break the pot by punching it, but a few shots with your gun can come in handy.
  • Game Modes
    • Normal Match
    • Ranked
    • Custom Match
  • Spawned Items
    • Medical Items
      • First Aid Kit

      • Molotov Cocktail
COMEBACK BR AND UI IMPROVEMENTS

We received much feedback on the inconvenient situations that players experienced while waiting for Comeback BR. Therefore, to provide a better overall experience, we have made the following improvements.
  • UI Improvements
    • A warning message will be displayed when trying to leave while spectating Comeback BR.
    • If you die while being able to participate in Comeback BR, "Exit to lobby" button will be disabled for three seconds.
    • A timer that indicates the time left until the start of Comeback BR will be displayed.
    • Comeback BR team UI improvements
      • Nicknames are now displayed brighter for squadmates who are waiting for Comeback BR to begin.
VEHICLE BALANCE UPDATES
We gave high low-end torque and excellent stability in consideration of the rugged and mountainous terrains of Taego for its exclusive vehicles. Also, Taego is very difficult to travel without a vehicle. So we have max speeds to prevent them from being destroyed easily from attacks. However, we have listened to the voices of our community saying the top speeds were too fast, so we have reduced the top speeds of the vehicles.
  • Pony Coupe
    • Normal: Reduced from 140km/h to under 130km/h.
    • Boost: Reduced from 150km/h to under 140km/h.
  • Porter
    • Normal: No changes are applied.
    • Boost: Reduced from 130km/h to under 120km/h.
RANKED RULESET
  • Leaver Penalty
    • The leaver penalty should be applied for players who have died and are qualified for the Comeback BR but choose to leave the match without waiting for the Comeback BR to begin.
    • Leaver penalty is applied when leaving match during Comeback BR
ERANGEL UPDATES
POCHINKI
An update has been made to Pochinki, one of the most popular drop points for dropping on Erangel. Until now, it was challenging to escape from Pochinki after early match combat without a vehicle. Also, the surrounding area was made up of fields, which made it easy for the enemies to find you. The following updates have been made to address these difficulties. Last but not least, the quality of the terrain around the map has been improved.
  • Pochinki Church Renewal
    • In order to balance with the surrounding two or three-story buildings, we have blocked the church rooftop play.
    • Added a secret room in the basement of the church where items are spawned. This room can be accessed without a key.
  • Updated Terrain Around Pochinki
    • Added waterway.
    • Added cover.
    • Added fences.
    • Fixed terrain height.
  • Improved Pochinki Terrain Quality.
HALLOWEEN UPDATES

Trick or treat! It's that season of the year again. To maximize the Halloween vibes, we have finished decorating some parts of Erangel. Knock on the door and shout out trick or treat!
  • School, Hospital, and the Starting island area have been decorated with the Halloween concept.
  • Halloween-themed weather, with unique moon color and fog in certain areas, is added.
    • Game Modes
      • Normal match
      • Custom match
    • Weather Probability
      • Halloween: 30
      • Clear: 50
      • Cloudy: 20
  • Care Package Smoke Color
    • Changed to Halloween colors.
      • Flaregun supply crates are not included.
  • Placed Mummy Coffins at School, Hospital, and the Starting Island.
NEW FEATURE: CARRY

Making its way to the Battlegrounds this update is the new Carry feature. Be the hero your team deserves by risking it all to carry an ally to safety or take a downed enemy on the adventure of a lifetime – before they bleed out, that is.

There are pros and cons to picking up a downed player. For one, they'll serve as a sort of human shield, guarding you against some incoming fire (pro for you, con for them…), but in return, you will not be able to sprint, jump, crouch, prone or hurdle, so make sure you choose your rescue route carefully. You can still fire while carrying a player, but your options are reduced to hip fire only. As for the carried player themselves, their bleed out time will be lowered, and they'll also be able to spot for you, though their visibility will be limited to whichever way you turn them.
  • Available on all maps.
  • You may pick up any downed player (friend or foe) that is not currently self-reviving or being revived.
  • While carrying a player, the following is true:
    • The following cannot be used.
      •  Panzerfaust
      • Melee weapons
      • Throwables (includes Gas/Jerry Can)
      • Emergency Pickup
      • Emergency Parachute
    • You and the carried player still take damage separately.
    • Your movement speed remains the same. However, you cannot crouch, go prone, sprint, jump, or hurdle.
    • You may still fire your weapon, but from the hip only.
    • You may not use healing items.
    • You may not use throwables.
  • While being carried a player, the following is true:
    • Your field of vision is limited to the direction your carrier is facing you.
  • Carried players cannot join you in a vehicle.
  • When the Carrier starts to swim Carry is canceled and the carried person drops/sinks to the bottom.
  • You cannot attach to an Emergency Pickup while carrying a player.
  • You may not use an Emergency Parachute while carrying a player.

Path of Exile - Streamer Interview - SuitSizeSmall

Streamer Interview - SuitSizeSmall

Posted: 27 Sep 2021 02:06 PM PDT

If you've ever been stuck in a Labyrinth, you may have had a hand from SuitSizeSmall who operates and updates the Lab notes on PoELab! Continuing our series of interviews with community streamers, we took a moment to chat with SuitSizeSmall about his cosplay, running the Labyrinth and life outside of streaming.

Hi SuitSizeSmall, thank you for taking part in the interview! For those who may not be familiar with you, can you please introduce yourself?
Thank you for inviting me to be interviewed! I'm SuitSizeSmall, I primarily operate and update the Lab notes for {LINK REMOVED}. I stream Path of Exile and occasionally other games such as souls-likes, metroidvanias and crafting/factory games. I also make cosplays semi-regularly.

When did you first get into Path of Exile?
I started playing Path of Exile around August or September of 2014.

What one thing caught your attention in the beginning and what was one thing that kept you coming back?
The primary thing that caught my attention was the sheer volume of skill gems, passives and items. I moved over from Diablo 3 so seeing this much variety and potential builds really got my attention. This is also the reason I keep coming back. I like making and trying out different builds. Granted this causes problems where I always end up making a bunch of level 70 characters and never commit but it is still fun to try out different skills.

Are there any highlights from your time playing Path of Exile that stand out in your memory?
Back in Incursion I had a {LINK REMOVED} drop that I still have in Standard. This was also during the peak time of Glacial Cascade Mines so the build got me into farming Uber Elder. The more recent highlights were my Oshabi and Maven cosplays. They got a lot of traction and support despite being thrown together in a week. And of course going to ExileCon was great. I had a lot of fun meeting everyone, I just wish I was less anxious and stayed out more.

Do you have a favourite build from your time playing Path of Exile?
When Ascendancy first released Elementalist Fire Trap was very satisfying to play due to how Elementalist would proliferate ignites and shocks. A little time after that Voltaxic Spark was also very fun due to being reflect immune and having great clear. Finally my recent favourite build has been Guardian Summon Holy Relic. Fairly tanky, good enough clear and can boss reliably.

Which was your favourite league or expansion?
I'm a little biased but the Ascendancy expansion has to be one of my favourites simply because it added the Labyrinth. Additionally, I really enjoyed Harvest as it was the first time I felt I was slowly improving each of my items through crafting rather than accumulating a mass of currency to maybe make a new item.

When did you first start streaming? How did you get into it?
I started streaming probably around April or May of 2016. After some encouragement from the PoELab website team and guild I started streaming my daily Lab runs of mapping out the Labyrinth. Eventually I grew more comfortable streaming content outside the Labyrinth as well as other games.

What can people expect from your stream and schedule?
You caught me at an unfortunate time as I recently started another semester in university. Normally I stream every day, mapping out all the Lab notes when the Labyrinth resets, 7pm CST. However, with school going on and the nature of Path of Exile being a large time sink I'm currently on a bit of a stream break. I do plan on doing some streams on the weekend if I have time, these will be a bit shorter and might be of other games and occasionally cosplay content. I don't really have a schedule for these, it's just if I have time and am in the mood.

What were you doing before you started streaming?
So when I started the Lab notes and streaming I was in my first semesters of community college. I have since been going to a regular University studying Mathematics. Unfortunately, my life has primarily been school and it has been regularly extended due to changing fields of study, problems with pre-requisites and inability to take a full set of courses due to mental stress.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of streaming?
I've been gaming most my life and this continues off stream. Recently I've been getting more and more into cosplay. Learning how to make costume accessories, how to sew, wig styling, makeup and photography.

You've made some awesome Path of Exile cosplays over the years! Which one was your favourite and why?
As previously mentioned I really liked what I managed to pull off for Oshabi and Maven in such a short period of time. Also those costumes included one of my favorite props to use which was UV contact lenses which is how I made my eyes glow. I also had a lot of fun putting together the budget Vorana armor for my expedition cosplay. The 1 week constraint has been difficult to work around but it has shown me what I can manage to do if I plan out my time.

How has your life changed from before you were streaming until now?
Surprising a lot has both changed and not changed. As mentioned, due to a variety of reasons I'm still going to university so not much has changed there. But I do plan my time around Labyrinth reset a lot so my time management is a bit more strict. Streaming and PoELab is more or less my first job and having a source of income has been incredibly impactful.

Is there anything you'd like to see more of in the streaming community?
Taking your time when playing PoE. It is easy to feel like you are "behind" when seeing people get to maps in 24 hours or have already killed Maven before you've done a T16. However everyone plays at a different pace and enjoys different parts of PoE. Take your time and don't worry if you are "behind".

What drew you to running the Labyrinth? Do you have a favourite build specifically curated for the Labyrinth?
The main draw to Labyrinth to me was how different you had to plan a farming character and how strong simply having knowledge of the Lab could be. It was interesting to focus a build much more on moving quickly and smoothly and somehow having enough damage to fight Izaro. Defense could somewhat be neglected if you knew how to navigate the traps very well, or fast enough that they wouldn't damage you. Additionally Izaro has fairly well telegraphed attacks so with enough practice it is easy to do the fight with low defense.

The Lab build I used for years was a Toxic Rain Pathfinder. It was incredibly low budget, normally less than an Exalted Orb to get started and it would have around 400% movement speed. This was a great starter Labyrinth build for new Lab runners and league starters however with flask changes in 3.15 hit the build much harder than anticipated. Now I'm back to an old school Leap Slammer with Ancestral Warchief Totems.

What's one tip you'd give for new and old players alike for getting through the Labyrinth?
Practice is the key to doing well in Lab. Knowing the Izaro fight, room layouts and trap layouts help tremendously in getting through Lab. If you don't get through a Lab your first time it's ok, the layout is the same so try again and be patient (unless you are in Hardcore, sorry).

Are there any up and coming streamers that you'd like to shine a spotlight on?
I tend to lurk in channels a lot but my usual go to's are {LINK REMOVED}, {LINK REMOVED}, {LINK REMOVED}, {LINK REMOVED}, {LINK REMOVED}, {LINK REMOVED} and {LINK REMOVED}. Additionally, {LINK REMOVED} and {LINK REMOVED} are two new streamers I recently came across. The fantastic artist {LINK REMOVED} has started streaming as well.

Do you have any projects on the horizon you'd like to talk about?
As mentioned, I'm on a bit of a streaming break as I focus on school. But I plan on doing some sporadic streams. Best to just follow me on Twitter to see if anything happens streaming related. I recently started a Fanhouse where I post more cosplay and makeup focused content. With October around the corner I've been working on my Halloween costume. It isn't Path of Exile themed but it is spicier than what I usually do so I hope everyone enjoys it nonetheless. If time permits I would also like to do some additional costumes/makeup looks throughout October.

Thank you so much for participating in the interview! If you'd like to follow SuitSizeSmall, you can do so on Twitter and {LINK REMOVED}.

Path of Exile - Our 3.16 Expansion Timeline

Our 3.16 Expansion Timeline

Posted: 26 Sep 2021 02:07 PM PDT

It's that time again - announcement of announcements! In today's news, we'll give you an overview of what to expect in the coming weeks as we prepare for the launch of our 3.16 expansion at the end of October.

Later this week, we'll share a follow-up news post that confirms the exact dates of both the 3.16 expansion announcement and its launch. The announcement will take place via Twitch at {LINK REMOVED} with Twitch Drops enabled! While we've revealed some of 3.16's details on recent community podcasts, there's still a lot to uncover. Like all Path of Exile expansions, it contains a new challenge league, skills, items, balance changes and more.

Next week, we're planning to start sharing a few minor teasers of things coming in this expansion, like items and divination cards to whet your appetite for what's coming. We're also planning to share many of our planned balance changes ahead of the announcement, including changes to ailments, defences, flasks and more.

As we mentioned in recent podcasts, we're planning to reduce the number of maps and regions in the Atlas. While the details of this are still to come, it's worth noting that this will affect existing Atlases for players in permanent leagues. If you're playing in these leagues, please keep an eye out for a coming news post that indicates what will happen to your watchstones, sextants etc.

There's a lot to talk about, and while this post didn't reveal much, we'll unveil everything in due time.
